Landscape photography in Nelson sometimes isn’t easy as there aren’t too many spots to visit on the spur of the moment. Perhaps I haven’t looked closely enough for alternatives but whenever I just have time to nip out at sunset I often end up on Rocks Road or the Boulder Bank. This time there wasn’t much happening until I returned to the car on Rocks Road and the deep blue evening was contrasted by the orange glow of the street lights that had just come on. Add to that the light trails of the passing cars with a 15 second exposure and I’ve got a bit of a different perspective on a very familiar scene.
