That Tree in Wanaka

Photographing this tree has become a bit of a rite of passage for photographers and you’ll find many, many different interpretations of this scene. Many photographers would shun the location (while furtively visiting it anyway) as its “been done before”. I think its a bit of fun to compare work and appreciate the differences between the versions. In some way, it is exactly what photography is about: how we see the “same” thing in different ways.
